George says he updated the dashboard to better reflect what is actually happening for the agents and to remove irrelevant clutter so the information is more trustworthy. He walks through the recent research, recent scoring, system map, research tab, and other sections, and explains that users can highlight items or ask questions to understand what something is and why it matters. George also says the first new tool will be charting, and recommends checking the dashboard daily or every other day to see what research is present.
[00:00] Hey folks, just following up on my Slack message here with a little update on the dashboard. So one of the, I did an update to this so that everything is reflective of what's actually
[00:10] happening for the agents and what's going on to behind the scenes. So I'm going to go really high level real quick here and you can sort of poke through. Just overall I've tried to remove
[00:20] anything that doesn't matter or isn't relevant so that the stuff that you're looking at you can trust a little bit more. So we have the recent research up here. This reads the, you know,
[00:30] recent research reports. It just kind of gives you a high level. You can also have it just rewrite it whenever you want. The idea is that it sort of is kind of like a what's been happening here
[00:40] recently. You have the four most recent research reports and then the recent scoring. You can see that there's the scoring mapped out over time as well. I realize that we're doing stuff quarterly
[00:50] but it's running on a daily basis anyway. And then we have the scoring, you know, up here as well. So you can kind of see those three categories. And then there's a map of the system. So obviously
[01:00] this has gotten a little more complicated since the last time we looked at it, which is a little bit more linear. But the idea here is you can highlight over each of them to kind of see
[01:10] what they're actually reading for each one. And this shows that it's going to happen again in 11 hours. You can also see the outputs that they've made, right? So the drafting agent,
[01:20] you can see them, positions agent, et cetera. And then all of these, you can still open up the file and see it. But the editing and the proposals and all that stuff is gone. It's just being able to
[01:30] kind of see what's actually happening or what they're actually reading. Under the research tab, this is where we can see all of the reports. So you can see everything that has happened,
[01:40] again, in document or calendar. You can see all the different things that have been read or written. The research agent, you can see drafting agent, positions agent. Obviously,
[01:50] the drafting one is in here because it was recently used, but that's a more typical view. It's sort of mostly research. If I go into one of these, again, I've tried to clean all this
[02:00] stuff up to make it a little bit, you know, less clutter. There's still some work I have to do over
[02:10] here, but I wanted to focus on this stuff. I think the most important thing is I've added functionality where you can highlight something and basically say, like, what is this, right?
[02:20] And this will look into the structure of the whole repo and look into what this thing actually is and give you an understanding of why it's in here and why it matters. You can also do the same thing
[02:30] by just asking a question about it specifically. So this works in a read-only manner back and forth to just help you understand what's going on. When it comes to tools, nothing in here yet,
[02:40] but our first tool will be the charting tool, which I'll be adding tomorrow. And then some of the other ones that are less critical to, like, day-to-day, the work log, the agent sources,
[02:50] and settings. So here you can see the different things that have actually run. This is just slightly different from the research tab because some things run but don't create an output.
[03:00] You can see the agents in here. Again, like, what they actually do. A lot of this stuff is sort of,
[03:10] you know, repeating what's on other pages. And then the upcoming runs, again, stuff you can find elsewhere. And sources. So this is really just all the sources cited. And again, this is
[03:20] if we really needed to drill in or find something specifically, which is why I've hidden it behind more. So yeah. So, you know, I would say get in the habit of maybe checking this on a daily or
[03:30] every other day kind of basis just to sort of see how, you know, what kind of research is in there. This might, I say that, but this might be more for the students, honestly, to be looking at. So
[03:40] don't feel too obligated. But in any event, if you are, you know, kind of like, where is this coming from or what's going on, this would be a good place to kind of to start. And then
[03:50] otherwise we can start to get into everything else. So, cool. Talk soon.
