George explains that Chart Studio is where data and Claude will be used to make charts and graphs for both the print and online versions of the Agentic Barometer. He walks through installing and connecting Tailscale, which adds the network access needed to reach the mini’s services, then shows that Chart Studio can be opened either by pasting its URL or from the Barometer dashboard under Tools. George also notes that Chart Studio may need to be started if it is not already running, and that charts and exports save locally on the mini so they persist after closing the browser.
[00:00] Hey folks So here's chart studio. I showed you guys this on Monday, but this is basically where we'll be able to actually use data
[00:10] and Claude to kind of make Charts and graphs that we can use both in the print version As well as the online version of the agentic barometer
[00:20] So I can go into a little bit how this works in a bit. Maybe I'll make a separate video But first let's just get it connected, so I'm going to disconnect from
[00:30] Tail scale here, and we'll just kind of start fresh So you'll see that if I go to reload that page. It's no longer there so
[00:40] We have on the mini There's a couple of services that are always running and they're running behind tail scale meaning the only way that you can actually access Them is if you're connected to the to our tail scale network
[00:50] So the first thing you'll need to do is make sure that you install Tail scale it'll make you go through the like admin stuff on your Mac and accept the permissions and all of that
[01:00] And you'll need to do that because basically what it's going to do is add another network connection to your Mac
[01:10] Such that you can connect to other devices through it, so if I pull up My network settings here, you'll see that
[01:20] There is VPN Tail scale right so there it is as another Network adapter that's already connected to the other two that I have
[01:30] On my machine so point being is that once you connect to it all of a sudden? You'll be able to see the other devices connected to the network so
[01:40] With with tail scale connected make sure you're on the right account Go ahead and connect, and you'll see it says waiting for network
[01:50] Connected and you can see in my settings You can see the archivist pop back up as well in my settings You'll see that now the VPN is active meaning. I now have an address
[02:00] On the network and so if I go ahead and hit reload here All of a sudden you'll see the chart studio is back because now I can access it over the network via browser
[02:10] So how the heck to get to this well first is I can just paste this URL Into any browser, and it will pull up the chart studio assuming you're connected to tail scale
[02:20] But the and you could just bookmark that like that's probably the easiest place to just always go back to it But the other way to get to it is to go through
[02:30] the barometer dashboard itself So you can see I got rid of those four numbers Those that's a port routing. It's really nerdy stuff, but basically
[02:40] It allows you to have multiple services with a front-end and kind of tell a user or tell the device where to go Which one to display so the default one is the agentic barometer?
[02:50] And when you log in you'll be able to see that again. It's connected to tail scale, and we'll grab your information from there
[03:00] But if you jump over to tools, you'll see chart studio, and you'll see that it says running right now It may not be running Because this is running on a Mac stuff happens sometimes it stalls maybe it freezes you never know
[03:10] so The one thing to that if it's not running you'll see a button to basically say start Then it'll kick it on in like a couple seconds later and be available
[03:20] So if I open that up it pops open in a new tab And we're in chart studio, and then from in here You can basically go to town sort of doing whatever you need as far as making the different graphs and charts
[03:30] And exporting them out, they all save locally on the mini, so If you close your browser and then reload this it'll be right there again
[03:40] So yeah, no worries cool. Let me know if you have trouble Oops, I don't want to disconnect that let's start the video
