Form Field Values

Description

George explains that dropdown fields can have separate display labels and stored values, and he wants to avoid using spaces in values because they may be rendered with hyphens or underscores. He asks whether the "fractional IT" option should be stored as "fractional IT" or kept as "IT," and whether another field should be set to "1 to 10" or left as is because it may already be handled by the SMB2 setup. George says he will move the item into place either way and wants to sync the field values soon.

[00:00] For drop-downs, you have the ability to have the different choices, and the choices can

[00:20] be paired with the text label versus what the value is. Generally speaking, you don't want to have any spaces and stuff in it, right? So this one having an underscore works because it's sort of all represented there. But either way, the fundamental question is

[00:30] I just want to make sure I don't mess anything up. So these ones, okay, for interested in

[00:40] fractional IT, it's fractional, but you said that you wanted these to be the same. So I could make it fractional IT with a space. As far as I know, what that actually renders

[00:50] to is fractional IT with a -. So that would be the first question. Do you want me to do that,

[01:00] or should I just keep it as IT, and we see kind of like where that goes? That's the first question. The second is, you know, following that logic, I would think that this one would

[01:10] want to be 1 to 10, but perhaps you already have that built in with this SMB2 thing. So you'll just have to let me know. I'm going to move this into place either way,

[01:20] so if you don't watch this video before the end of the day, no big deal. It'll be there and captured regardless, but I do want to make sure that we sync that up at some point.

[01:30] Anyway, talk soon. I've got to find the button to end it. There.
