Pricing Wizard - Initial Beta

Description

George introduces a first-pass pricing wizard and recommendation tool designed to help leads understand likely service fit and approximate cost based on their inputs. He explains that the form collects team size, current coverage, work model, and upcoming needs, then uses that data to recommend services and calculate a rough pricing range using a mix of monthly retainer and per-user or project-based logic. George also says the tool is meant to sit in front of the existing lead flow, with the captured information routed into HubSpot and Cal to book consultations and continue the sales process.

[00:00] Hello, hello. Happy Friday. So really excited to show you this. This is my first pass at the kind of pricing calculator, pricing wizard, personalization thing, recommendation thing.

[00:10] I don't know what you want to call it yet, but the goal is to provide some sort of clarity around for, you know, a lead,

[00:20] around how much the services might cost and also make a recommendation about which one, right? So probably in the opposite order. Make a recommendation about which services you need based on the input you're giving us, and then if we can't put pricing against it,

[00:30] that's probably the better way to think about it. For us, it allows us to gather some more information about this current situation that they're in, you know,

[00:40] based on the different things that they select. So I'm not suggesting that this is like a net replacement to the getting started flow. I think that that's a quick way in, right into the lead flow and getting on a call.

[00:50] I think this is more of a, can be either used, you know, via email campaigns, shared around,

[01:00] or kind of peppered throughout the site if kind of like want a recommendation or something like that, or if in an area where someone is going to book a call and they might not want to,

[01:10] you could say kind of like use our recommendation or something like that. So anyway, point being. So I'll kind of show you how this works. Let me just fill out mine.

[01:20] Hello, and a George plus test. If you don't know about this, by the way, you can do plus and put anything in it for Gmails, and if you use plus test, it's an easy way to filter them out.

[01:30] Okay. So now I put that in. Obviously, I've got to fix a few of those little bugs as far as the jumping around.

[01:40] The next thing is to kind of tell us about your team size, right? So this thing works up in increments. It can go all the way up to 250 plus, right? It kind of gives you an idea of like, okay, I have, you know, a team of 65 people.

[01:50] Our current coverage, we have, say, a small IT team, and the work model is multiple offices, right? We're mostly remote.

[02:00] And then from here, we go, you know, what do you have on the horizon, right? So some upcoming needs. We have rapid hiring happening. Maybe we're opening a new office.

[02:10] Expanding another office. Doing some Wi-Fi work. We're going to need cabling. Let's see. AV rooms. That stuff we have taken care of. We're all good down here.

[02:20] We're thinking this could be three months. We're looking. New space now. Okay. All right. So I hit submit.

[02:30] So now what this does is it looks at what the services are on the website and then makes a recommendation about which of the services that we think is probably best suited.

[02:40] There's still some, you know, obviously some bugs in here as far as like some repeat information that I have to kind of like sort out now that I can kind of see the whole thing rendered. But the idea being is that based on each of the different upcoming events that they basically have selected,

[02:50] or needs, I should say, that they have selected, and then the size of the team,

[03:00] it goes in through and kind of picks the different plan and determines sort of what the project might be or the cost might be. Now, I put in like a bunch of just totally bananas price points for you guys.

[03:10] So I'm not exactly sure, you know, that's sort of like yet to be determined. The basic model for anything that falls into the category of cybersecurity

[03:20] or flexible IT is effectively a monthly retainer that's set at some range to be determined.

[03:30] And then on top of that is yet another range to be determined per user, which is kind of how this thing is setting up. So it's intentionally calculating a range such that anything that's presented here, you're not held to.

[03:40] It's kind of like based on this really high level thing, this is sort of what we think. And then same goes with the project, right? So it's based on, you know, some of the different things that were checked,

[03:50] the number of employees is going to relate to the number of workstations and for like cabling or whatever. So it sort of uses some of that stuff as a scalar.

[04:00] And then these little descriptions are just simply written in. So right now they're a little bit like black. You could probably clean them up a bit more to make them not feel as repetitive as well, right?

[04:10] Like this is, you know, fit for project-based support, right? You could probably be like, this is a good fit. Or, you know, because of this, we could just give a reason instead of having to kind of like state it.

[04:20] That's a little bit of GPT. But anyway, then following this would be obviously booking a consultation. So we've just set up all that routing with HubSpot and with Cal.

[04:30] So the plan is to basically do the same thing here, right? So we already have that information. We'd be basically submitting the thing.

[04:40] And then based on that, it would route to wherever it needs to go and kind of move forward from there. So you can think about this as sort of like a step in front of the initial form.

[04:50] This entire thing, everything that they've put in, is captured in one giant form, right? So all of those fields can then be moved.
