George says the new landing page has been built in HubSpot from his Figma mockups using Codex, and he is ready for the team to test it with real content. He explains that the template supports theme switching, mobile behavior, customizable hero and form sections, and movable or removable sections, though a few details still need adjustment. George also notes that he built it in a separate folder to avoid affecting the existing setup and is happy to jump on a call to review and refine it live.
[00:00] Hello, hello. Happy Monday. So, exciting news. The landing page is built on HubSpot. I'm ready for you guys to test. Honestly, building it with Codex was really cool. It was able to basically
[00:10] take all of the Figma mock-ups that I made, because I kind of used the rigor inside of Figma
[00:20] to sort of tell it how to behave, and just translated all of that into the HubSpot code and mapped everything to fields and made it in sections you can turn on and off, and then made
[00:30] it into a template, which then we don't have to do like copy the old one and blah blah blah. You can just like start fresh. And then it populated one here filled with made-up content, such that
[00:40] we can sort of see how it works. So, I'll quickly go through, you know, what it is, and then I would love for you guys to kind of start using it with some real stuff, and so we can see how well it's
[00:50] working and all that. So, first thing is there's different options for the theme. You can see it pulled what our Figma agree kind of thing was as far as my frames. Some of the stuff we can clean
[01:00] up, if not, kind of whatever, as long as we know which one it is, as far as I'm concerned. But we can switch the theme right here, and then that changes out what the background graphics are,
[01:10] and the colors, and the logo, and all of that. It, of course, works on mobile. I don't remember everything's moved in here. I don't know where the mobile stuff is anymore.
[01:20] Whatever. I don't need to get hung up on that. You know, obviously, I had it on white. We could switch to the navy one. So, you can see that stuff is all working in there. As far as the header,
[01:30] it has like the link up here for the logo. When it comes to the hero content, I just stuffed in
[01:40] there whatever image was there. If there's no image, I believe all the text just moves up. Yep. So, you can see there's the eyebrow text, page heading, and then this is just an entire,
[01:50] this section here, all of this, is actually just like a huge rich text box. So, you can kind of load that up with other stuff if you have to have other links or whatever it is, or you can see the
[02:00] personalized stuff, no problem. And then, oh, the dark mode, that's interesting. And then, okay, the category pill. So, you can see that's right there. Right now, there's only one. We could make
[02:10] that a repeater if we need to and kind of give it colors or whatever, but I figured that was fine for now. It's also just using the page count label and the duration. This, we can all adjust,
[02:20] right? It should be like value one, value two. How we actually select these, I have to figure that out because I think right now, they're just actually stuffed in there as like hard-coded in,
[02:30] but obviously, we need to change those. So, there's a few little things that need to be worked out. And then, the form. So, you can see the forms show up here and it will populate in.
[02:40] It looks like it's forcing the styles on top of them from Figma, which is cool. This is a little
[02:50] goofy. I'm not sure if that's something that's happening on the form side. Maybe you guys know. I need to hop on a call and poke through. I'm very hesitant to change anything on your HubSpot. I don't want to break anything. So, I was very explicitly working in this one folder. It's a
[03:00] new folder, all of that. Anyway, so then, yeah. So, then there's all these form content, thank
[03:10] you page, etc. Back up here, the sections. So, all of these sections can be moved around. And then, you can just delete whatever you don't need or duplicate all that fun stuff.
[03:20] The way that it works is basically all of them will be there sort of like by default when you make a new one. You duplicate, you can remove. If you delete it here, we can kind of get it back.
[03:30] It's not like it's gone or anything like that because it is part of the template. So, yeah, fun stuff. Happy to jump on a call if you want to kind of go through it and test it live and
[03:40] make sure it's all working. Like I said, Codex is sort of built with... I set up the command line
[03:50] interface thing with Codex and the HubSpot so that we can work back and forth with it live. So, I have like a demo environment on my computer of all of these and then it gets
[04:00] sort of ported up there. So, if there's changes that we want to make here, it might be easier to kind of just hop on a call real quickly and kind of go through some stuff. But yeah, exciting.
[04:10] Let me know how it works. Talk soon.
